Dresses on a budget…
Hi wedding girl, I really really need some help with my wedding dress and bridesmaid dresses. I have recently got engaged (last month) and am planning to get married in September which is not very far away. We don’t have a big budget and it will be a small low key wedding. I want to buy my wedding dress (something knee length) and my bridesmaid dress (x1) and flower girl (x1) from the high street if possible. I don’t really want to spend more that £500 in total, have you got any suggestions of where I could start looking?

Many brides are now purchasing their wedding dresses and bridesmaids dresses on the high street, there are some great options!
Monsoon has just launched their Spring / Summer 09 Bridal collection of vintage inspired gowns. Meticulously designed in-house and inspired by the glamorous dresses of times gone by, many of the styles feature hand-beading, intricate embroidery and hand-sewn sequin enhancement. The range consists of eight bridal dresses and seven bridesmaid styles with traditional floor length 
designs including an embroidered chiffon shift dress and knee-length proms which would be perfect and well within your budget. I also adore the Audley Prom Dress (left). Additionally, two decorative boleros accompany the range which could be good for the time of year you are marrying in. I would also have a look at Debenhams, their bridal collection is very affordable. I love their dresses by Julian Macdonald which are available from £200.
For your Bridesmaid, I would again look at Debenhams, Monsoon and Coast but also have a look at some smaller independent boutiques for something a little more unique and special.
