Located in the western Andaman sea, between the main coastline of Thailand and the island of Phuket lie the small but perfectly formed Phi Phi Islands. Each cake designer has one chance to pitch the most fabulous, flamboyant and fun concept they can come up with for the perfect cake. The resulting creation is then revealed to the couples and their family and friends on the wedding day! The new series will be aired on Wedding TV in Spring 2011

The couple should be getting married in the next few months.
The show takes a bride and groom and helps them to find their perfect cake designer.  Three cake designers will then compete to create the perfect wedding cake.

I want to get married in 2012 in Italy but a friend of mine recently told me that it is not possible to get married on the beach in Italy, is this true?

Carolina, it is possible to have a beach wedding in Italy however there are a range of issues you need to be aware of.  A beach wedding in Italy can be sandy or rocky and during the summer or on a hot day you will find that the beaches are filled with people; holiday makers and sunbathers.  You also need to consider that for you to have a beach wedding, it is essential that the beach is private. It is not possible to get married on a public beach.

Most of the private beaches are owned either by a hotel or a restaurant or the owner of a villa, so if you want to take advantage of a beach wedding, you may need to stay at the venue or have your reception here and the other thing to bear in mind is that you may also need to consider getting married in the evening when all the bathers and sun worshippers have gone home for the evening as you do not want your wedding ceremony to be spoiled by tanned bodies in bikinis and swimming trunks! You would therefore need to consider an early evening wedding which could take place at 1800 hours or slightly later.
