Dior Eau Sauvage
A fantastic, classic scent. Dior’s Eau Sauvage, their first men’s perfume, is an elegant manly scent with a light lemony, herbal aroma combined with a rustic, mossy, woody undertone. The effect is very balanced and masculine which has led to this product being a staple favourite in the bathrooms of men all over the world for decades.
50ml £43, 100ml £59

Tommy Hilfiger Loud
Loud, by Tommy Hilfiger, despite its name and rock ‘n’ roll styled packaging is actually a rather clean and understated scent. Featuring patchouli, rose and tobacco, the combination is fresh, cool, sweet and even a little bit smokey. It’s an ideal day-to-day Summer fragrance to accompany the casual jeans and t-shirt style that it has been aimed at and the edgy packaging will appear to any music fan.
40ml £27.58 , 75ml £39.50

Now I know a fabulous dress when I see one but when it comes to decking out the groom then this is not my strongest area, luckily I have the lovely Steve Bishop from Hugh Harris on hand to tell you all about his own hilarious experience in picking out his suit for his big day. Over to you Steve….
So your bride has been fantasizing about her wedding dress, probably since birth. I, (being a bloke), most certainly haven’t given my outfit such importance.
There I am helping to decide (basically agreeing) on things like ribbon trims to match my soon to be mother in laws shoe laces (yawn), that I couldn’t even remotely think about good old me. In fact a piece of advice chaps, at the early planning stages of your wedding, you will hear the words, “I” or “my wedding” rather a lot. Just accept this mode to start with then “guide” your bride gently into the thought process that you do actually have a fairly important part to play, i.e. no you, no wedding.

The spa break is no longer a female preserve! A growing number of men are going to spas with their partners or friends. Men now make up nearly a third of all spa goers, and they’re not just signing up for sports massages and manicures. They’re getting facials, vichy showers, body scrubs and wraps, waxes etc. The reason? Spas have learned how to create agender-neutral atmosphere where both men and women feel comfortable, with treatments that are named specifically for men like the “Gentleman’s Facial¨
So for those men out there looking for something a little bit different for their stag weekend or for a little post wedding pampering you simply must check out SIS – Spa In Spain, the Majorcan-based online booking agency specializing in Spa & Wellness trips to Spain, has made a selection of Spa packages dedicated to helping men discover the power of looking and feeling their best, through advanced skin and body care services.

This month instead of my usual Hair & Beauty Hot picks I am passing you over to my other half for a low down on all the best products for grooms….

SAVE Rehab – Revive and survive £18.50
I am a big fan of the Rehab products, created by Strictly Come Dancing hair and make-up artist Lisa Hilton, they are 100% ethical and free of parabens, SLS’s and sulphates, which means they don’t harm the skin, and leave behind no chemical residue. All packaging is made from recycled glass containers and 100% recycled paper.
Rehab’s Revive-Survive is an eye-catching and stylishly packaged product for use as required, day or night. The cream is infused with tea tree and lemon giving it an invigorating, lively smell and it absorbs quickly without leaving an oily residue. Definitely one of my favourites!

SPLURGE The Organic Pharmacy Ultra Light Moisture Gel £29.31
This gel moisturiser was definitely one of the few that stood out from the crowd. Infused with a light, slightly spicy but definitely manly smell, this product felt great on and lasted throughout a busy day in an air conditioned office. With extracts of Aloe, Green Tea and Liquorice to soothe, this is perfect for peaking up tired skin. The moisturiser is also free from petrochemicals, preservatives and colourants and contains a boatload of antioxidants to protect the skin throughout the day.

Us women are used to being spoilt and pampered but what about the men!! I have had numerous emails recently from brides who are wanting to treat their future hubby to some well deserved pampering in the stressful lead-up to the big day! So, after much research, I found the cream of the crop when it comes to men’s grooming….
The Refinery is London’s one-stop grooming emporium for men. Established in January 2000 they offer an extensive list of treatments exclusively for men from their traditional wet shave to the luxurious Refinery One Day Package. They dedicate themselves to providing men with unparalleled service and level of attentiveness. Combining the comfort and atmosphere of a gentlemen’s club with the vitality and sense of well-being of a health spa, The Refinery provides an environment where their clients can relax, unwind and feel revitalised.
I went along with h2b to find out if it really is as good as it sounds…

Hello Wedding Girl, I have a question from my h2b for you. He is wanting to buy some male products to get his skin in to good shape bef0re the wedding. We only have about 6 weeks to go but really don’t know where to look. Any suggestions for him?
Thanks
Corrine/David – Newcastle
Hi Corrine/David,
I have had a couple of questions recently from brides looking for good products for their h2b to use before the wedding. I will be doing a comprehensive review at the end of the month outlining lots of different options. In the meantime, I would suggest trying the Clinique for Men website www.cliniqueformen.co.uk.

The new site includes fantastic tools such as product application videos, skin concern solutions, a skin analysis tool and a guy friendly shopping basket and checkout function. Prices start from £10. Also your h2b will get to 2 free samples with any online purchase, which will be great for taking on your honeymoon.
